Summer Cooling
Insulation is your home's thermal barrier.  That means that in the summer, when your attic can reach as high as 160 degrees, the insulation acts as a way to keep the heat contained in the attic and prevent it from seeping into your home.

Winter Heating
In the winter, heat inside the home warms up the walls and ceilings and the heat wants to go out into the colder places - like the attic and through the wall to the outside.  In colder months, the insulation acts like a thermal barrier by keeping your warm air inside.

These 5 things are likely affecting R-Values of the insulation around your home:

  1. Uneven Distribution
  2. Improper Installation
  3. Temperature Variation
  4. Water/Moisture Intrusion
  5. Wind Washing

What can you do about any of these issues?

Informative home energy audits

In about an hour, we can assess the home for key measures that can greatly increase comfort and efficiency.  A report can be provided that will detail the condition of four key areas: exterior, health/safety, insulation & air leakage testing.

Replacement window assessments

Hometrust can evaluate your current attic ventilation and make any recommendations for changes that can improve overall air flow through the space.
